Cossum Swim Schools was founded by Des Cossum 1990 and since then we are responsible for teaching thousands of pupils how to swim throughout Northern Ireland. Not only do we teach people how to swim but we also specialise in tutoring the tutors in both swimming and lifesaving. All our teachers are CRB checked and are trained to the highest STA / ASA standards.
We pride ourselves on offering a more personal service, with small groups of puipls per class our instructors can spend more time one-on-one with each of the pupils accelerating their development.

| Cossum Swim School uses the STA's international Swimming Teachers Association awards scheme. Millions of children worldwide have learned to swim using this incentive based scheme. The scheme is designed for all age groups and all abilities beginning with Starfish for babies as young as 6 months through to Shark for more accomplished swimmers teaching them rescue and survival techniques. We also recognise that pupils will learn to swim at many different ages and progress at varying paces but we will always make sure we find the right class for you or your child.
All levels of the scheme have clearly defined standards, teaching objectives and learning outcomes. This ensures a consistent level of achievement from a high quality programme.
